Wolf Creek Restaurant & Brewing Co.: Valencia's Brewery and Burger Stop

Valencia's only on-site brewery, with a Sunday brunch worth getting up for and a patio that handles a 10-top.

Why we like it

The only restaurant in Santa Clarita that brews its own beer, plates a real burger, and has a patio big enough for a 10-top. That's a category of one.

Wolf Creek Restaurant & Brewing Co. on McBean Parkway is the city's best brewery-and-burger combo, and it has been quietly the answer to "where can we go that has something for everyone" for years. American comfort food, a serious house beer program, a weekend brunch, and a patio that handles a Saturday afternoon better than almost any other room in Valencia. 1,100 Yelp reviews and a steady 4.0-star average. It is not the place to chase Michelin-grade plating; it is the place to land a group of eight without anyone leaving disappointed.

The vibe

Big, woody, a little dim inside, and dramatically more pleasant on the patio. The beer program is the heart of the room: Wolf Creek brews its own lagers, IPAs, and seasonals and pours them at the bar at the back. The dining room is family-friendly through dinner and tilts toward the bar crowd after 9pm.

The kitchen is Italian-American-pub, broadly speaking: pizzas, pastas, burgers, salads, a few entrees. Nothing on the menu is challenging; most of it is well-executed. The Sunday brunch (10:30am to 2pm) is one of the best-kept secrets in the neighborhood.

What to order

When to go

Sunday brunch from 10:30am to about 12:30pm is the calmest version of the room and probably the best one. Friday and Saturday after 7pm is the rush, and the patio fills first. Weekday happy hour leans toward the after-work crowd at the bar.

Large parties (8+) should call ahead even on a weeknight. The patio is first-come on weekends.

Good to know

Parking: Big shared lot off McBean. Easy in, easy out. Walking distance from the Westfield Valencia Town Center, which makes Wolf Creek the natural after-mall dinner stop.

Reservations: Recommended for Friday and Saturday dinner, and for any party of 6+. Walk-ins handled at the host stand; expect a 15-30 minute wait on peak nights.

Dietary: Vegetarian options across the menu, gluten-free pizza crust available, and a few vegan-friendly builds. Servers will steer you cleanly through the options.

Beer: The brewery is the heart of the room. House lagers, IPAs, and seasonals are poured fresh; the brewer rotates beers regularly so the menu shifts. Ask the server which is freshest. Pint flights available.

Kids: Welcome through dinner. Kids' menu, crayons, and a room that absorbs kid noise without anyone noticing.

Patio: One of the larger dining patios in Valencia. Heated for cooler nights, partial coverage for unexpected drizzle. First-come on weekends; ask for it on weeknights.

Frequently asked questions

Do they actually brew their own beer?

Yes. Wolf Creek Brewing operates an on-premise brewery and pours its own lagers, IPAs, and rotating seasonals at the bar. The brew rotation changes every few weeks; ask the server or bartender what's freshest. Pint flights are available if you want to taste across the lineup.

Is the Sunday brunch worth showing up for?

It's one of the best-kept brunch secrets in Valencia. Sunday 10:30am to 2pm, eggs benedict and the omelette lineup carry the menu, and the patio is at its calmest before noon. Reservations not required for two-tops; recommended for groups.

Is Wolf Creek kid-friendly?

Yes through dinner. Kids' menu, highchairs, and a dining room that absorbs noise without anyone noticing. The bar takes over after 9pm; bring kids before then.
